FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS –
Educational Trips and Language Immersion

👨‍👩‍👧 FOR PARENTS

Yes. Safety is our priority. All our programmes are carefully organised in collaboration with accredited schools and selected host families. Students are accompanied at all times by a bilingual group leader who stays with the group from departure to return. In addition, all participants have full medical and travel insurance.
The group is accompanied by a B1B2 Top Travel group leader or by the teachers from the schools organising the trip, who acts as a liaison between the students, the host families and the local school. During the day, students are with native teachers and coordinators from the host school abroad. Outside school hours, the group leader remains available 24 hours a day.
In most programmes, students stay with host families carefully selected by the local schools. All families go through a thorough vetting process and receive regular visits to ensure the quality and safety of the environment.
In addition, at some destinations we offer carefully selected student residences, ideal for groups that prefer a more independent environment that is still safe and supervised.
Both families and residences provide a welcoming and educational atmosphere, allowing students to practise the language naturally and discover the local culture from the inside.

Our whole team —accompanying teachers, group leaders and coordinators— follows an immediate medical care protocol in the event of any incident.
The student is accompanied to the nearest medical centre or hospital, and both the school and the family are kept informed at all times.

All participants travel with full medical and travel insurance, and we also recommend that families bring the European Health Insurance Card, which makes it easier to receive care in public health centres in the destination country.

Our team, both in Spain and in the host country, is available 24 hours a day to deal with any emergency or unforeseen event.
The protocol includes locating nearby hospitals, coordinating with the insurer and immediately contacting the legal guardians in Spain, ensuring a quick and safe response in any situation.

Yes. All groups travel accompanied at all times, although the person in charge may vary depending on the type of programme.
In some cases, the group is accompanied by teachers from the school itself, while in others a bilingual B1B2 Top Travel group leader travels with them, specially trained to supervise and assist students during the flight, classes, excursions and activities.

Both accompanying teachers and group leaders act as the main point of contact for students, families and the school, and are in constant contact with our coordination team at the destination and in Spain.

Our insurance policies include full medical assistance, loss of or damage to luggage, civil liability and repatriation, with cover throughout the stay.
We also offer families the option of taking out an optional cancellation insurance, which covers justified reasons before departure.
This way, we give participants and their families peace of mind from booking to return.
Yes. The improvement is reflected not only in language level, but also in confidence, listening comprehension and fluency. By living with native speakers and taking part in activities 100% in English, students lose their fear of speaking and learn naturally.
The programmes combine dynamic classes in international groups with cultural, sports and social activities: workshops, excursions, guided visits, team games and integration activities with local students.
An educational trip is not just a school trip. Everything is designed with a pedagogical approach, so that students learn language and culture at the same time. Every activity has an educational purpose, and students take an active part in English from the moment they arrive.
Yes. At the end of the programme, students receive an official certificate of attendance issued by the international partner school, which certifies the hours of training and the level reached.
The programmes are organised by B1B2 Top Travel, an educational travel agency specialising in language immersion, in collaboration with B1B2 Academy, an educational centre with more than 10 years of experience in language teaching and intercultural training.
Most groups are made up of between 15 and 20 students, always accompanied by one or two group leaders or responsible teachers.
When larger groups are organised, we keep a maximum ratio of one accompanying adult for every 15–20 students, ensuring that each participant receives personal attention and constant support throughout the trip.
A high level is not required. The programmes adapt to each participant’s level, and living with native speakers means everyone learns at their own pace in a real environment.
Yes. Before the trip, we give each participant a full profile of the host family, including name, occupation, number of members, photographs and home address.
Our team always acts as the direct intermediary, checking that all conditions are optimal and suitable for the student.
In addition, for families who wish to, we offer the possibility of contacting the host family beforehand to answer any questions or get to know them before arrival.
The price includes flights, accommodation, full board, language course, activities, excursions, insurance and an accompanying group leader. All the details are set out in the proposal sent to the school or family.
Yes. We offer an instalment payment plan, so that families can pay for the programme in several instalments at no additional cost.
Because they include training, continuous supervision, full insurance and educational services. This is not tourism, but a complete educational experience organised to international standards.

🏫 FOR SCHOOLS AND TEACHING STAFF

Our programmes are designed to complement the bilingual curriculum. They are adapted to the school’s objectives and can include themed activities or content specific to each area (culture, science, cooking, etc.).

Yes. All our programmes are fully customisable according to the age, language level and field of study of the students.
For example, we offer specific programmes for Vocational Training in cooking, tourism or healthcare, in which students work on topics related to their area of study while practising the language in a real context.

In addition, groups can travel as a closed group and carry out activities designed to measure.
Both the number of teaching hours and the excursions or guided visits are adaptable to the educational objectives and preferences of the school, always ensuring a balance between training and cultural experience.

We offer full programme management, which includes:

  • Flights and transfers.

  • Host family or residence accommodation on a full-board basis.

  • Language course and course materials.

  • Cultural activities and excursions.

  • Full medical and travel insurance.

  • One accompanying teacher or group leader for every 15–20 students, depending on the programme.

We also provide continuous support to teachers at all times: from handling the paperwork and preparing information sessions with families, to coordination during the trip and follow-up afterwards.

The invoicing method is adapted to the needs of each school:

  • In most cases, invoicing is made directly to the families, and our team takes care of all the management and paperwork, always in coordination with the school.

  • When the school contracts directly, we take care of all the administrative and invoicing details.

  • For trips funded through grants or European projects, we offer comprehensive support in preparing and managing the required documentation.

We offer flexible payment options, allowing the amount to be split into several instalments and adapting to each family’s circumstances.
All payments are completed before departure, ensuring transparency, security and traceability throughout the process.

We are fully aware of the great responsibility that accompanying teachers take on, so their wellbeing and peace of mind are a priority.
Throughout the whole process —before, during and after the trip— they have full assistance, logistical support and direct communication with our team.

We take care of transfers, schedules, local coordination, emergencies and paperwork, so that teachers can focus on the educational side and on looking after the students.
Our team, both at the destination and from Spain, is available 24 hours a day to resolve any incident or query that may arise.

We recommend starting the organisation 4 to 6 months in advance, which allows us to:

  • Secure flights and accommodation on the best terms.

  • Split payments into more comfortable instalments for families.

  • Coordinate all pedagogical and logistical details with the school.

Where such long-term planning is not possible, the trip must be fully confirmed at least one month before departure, to guarantee optimal delivery of the programme.

At B1B2 Top Travel we believe that choosing the right international partners is key to the success of the programme.
We work exclusively with accredited schools and partner centres that guarantee quality educational provision, safety and good logistical management.

We select attractive and educational destinations that combine language learning with authentic cultural immersion.
Our team personally visits the destinations and partner schools to ensure that quality standards are met.
We have a stable network of partners in Ireland, the United Kingdom, France, Malta, Germany and the United States, as well as other European destinations with which we maintain ongoing collaboration.

Yes. We regularly work with public, state-subsidised (concertados) and private schools across Spain, adapting each programme to their academic and budgetary needs.

🧑‍🎓 FOR STUDENTS

Yes. In addition to the classes and organised activities, there are supervised leisure periods to enjoy with your classmates and meet students from other countries.
Host families are selected by the local schools. They are friendly, welcoming and used to hosting international students. They will take you in as one more member of the household.
Yes, as long as you belong to the same group or school. We also try to place you nearby or in the same area to make joint activities easier.
Don’t worry. All students feel the same at first, but you will quickly get used to the language. Teachers and group leaders will help you whenever you need it.
Both. Mornings are usually devoted to language learning and afternoons to excursions, sports or cultural activities.

Yes, but we recommend using it responsibly. The aim is to make the most of the experience by communicating in English and taking part in the activities.

You can go to your group leader or the local coordinator at any time. There will always be an adult available to help you.
